SSP Sample Report

This graph provides percentile scores on each of SSP’s twelve trainable selling skills plus an additional scale (Call enthusiasm) indicating the likelihood that the test candidate will suffer from rejection.

Percentile score
The percentile score reflect the test candidate’s understanding of the associated skill compared to that of the in-built database over 250,000 sales personnel who have previously completed the questionnaire.

Correct/Total
The total indicates the number of points distributed throughout SSP’s fifty multiple choice questions that are associated with each scale.

The Correct column indicates the number of points the test candidate scored on each scale.

Note that a percentile score is not simply a percentage but reflects the test candidate’s ‘position in class’ compared to the ‘average salesperson’ distilled from the database. For example, most salespeople are adept at Approaching & Involving prospects and customers and the average score on this scale is relatively high. Therefore, despite securing over half the points available on this scale, the test candidate’s score of 16/30 places him toward the bottom of the class with a percentile score of only 15.

In contrast, the ‘average’ salesperson isn’t particularly good at Closing. Hence, a score of only 3/13 places the test candidate towards the middle of the class with a percentile score of 42.
