Jeffrey Bean
As a degree-qualified engineer, Jeffrey began his sales career in 1978 as a technical salesman with The Plessey Company, where he stayed for over 5 years. In addition to receiving excellent sales and management training, Jeffrey also acquired a Diploma in Management Studies.
Moving into the computing and software markets, Jeffrey rose through the ranks of Sales Management to the position of Sales Director, roles in which he confesses to having made most of the mistakes there are to be made in managing both salaried and commission-only teams. In 1991 he left full time employment to start the venture that has evolved to become Sales Team Focus Ltd.
Specialising in the areas of recruitment and psychometric testing, Jeffrey now draws on his experience and uses his 20:20 hindsight to help prevent other Sales Managers and Directors repeating the same mistakes he made himself.
Ernie Rayner
Ernie has worked in the sales environment since October 1973. Commencing with GKN Distributors in the highly competitive fasteners market gave Ernie an excellent grounding in sales and sales management. In 1980 he moved to Technical Indexes Ltd as Area Sales Manager. Following 4 successful years he was promoted to Training Manager – a position he held from 1984-2000.
In that 16 year period Ernie designed and delivered training to many hundreds of people across a variety of disciplines specialising in Sales, Management and Customer Care. As an in-house trainer, his work in the sales arena encompassed not only design & delivery of course content and training materials but also field accompaniments and assessments to evaluate training effectiveness.
Ernie has enormous energy and enthusiasm for all things sales and customer care related and he has a genuine and strong desire to help like minded people. His own unique brand of humour makes any training session memorable and Ernie is available to work with your company designing and delivering training programmes to meet specific objectives.
Ernie is also a trained and licensed user of psychometric tests.
David Pike
David has been involved with Sales Team Focus Ltd from the outset. With a successful sales, marketing and business management career in the UK manufacturing sector, David now uses his management, coaching and facilitation skills to help with career counselling, outplacement and recruitment.
Also trained and licensed in the use of a variety of psychometric test instruments, David's involvement with clients often extends beyond our core areas of sales and customer care especially when there are performance management issues to be addressed that are organisation-wide rather than purely sales-related.
Based in Cheshire, David tends to serve our clients in the north of England but is available to work with any client where his skills and expertise are the most appropriate.
